OUR HISTORY

August 1911
Nakayoshi Jitarozo leaves Mitao Iron Works, rents a house in Minami-Misasa-machi (now Kogawachi-cho, Nishi-ku, Hiroshima), removes the earthen floor at the entrance, builds a furnace, installs a bellows, and starts his own ironworks.
1934
He independently manufactured a cylinder internal grinder used for engine overhauls.

Nakayoshi Automobile Co., Ltd. established
<Reorganized into Nakayoshi Motor Co., Ltd. in 1950>
1945
Atomic bombing on August 6
The company building collapsed, and many employees and their families lost their lives. It took several years to rebuild the company.
1952
Nakayoshi Motor Co., Ltd. became an authorized dealer and designated maintenance facility for Mitsubishi Fuso vehicles
Hiroshima Diesel Co., Ltd. was established, and in 1953 it began handling Sawafuji Electric Co., Ltd. products, followed by KYB Industry Co., Ltd. (now KYB Corporation) in 1957.

Late 1960s
Supplied a dust collection system to Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. (now Mazda Motor Corporation).
1965
Built a factory on a 4,000-tsubo site in the suburbs of Hiroshima City (now Ono, Hatsukaichi City), equipped with a 3,000-horsepower engine test machine. It became one of the leading service and repair facilities for large diesel engines and construction machinery in the prefecture.

Built a service factory specializing in construction machinery in Fukuyama City and became a general dealer for Mitsubishi power shovels and other equipment.

Received its first commendation as an Excellent Taxpayer Corporation from Hiroshima Nishi Tax Office.
1983
Nakayoshi Motor Co., Ltd. merged with Hiroshima Diesel Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Nakayoshi Engineering Co., Ltd. Nakayoshi Keiji became President and Representative Director.

Late 1980s and beyond
Designed, manufactured, and delivered productivity-saving equipment such as synchronous carts for assembly conveyors (about 200 units), seal release paper removal machines, and material handling equipment such as palletizing cranes.
1990s and beyond
Delivered pendulum-type and barrier-type bumper impact testers to Mazda’s Miyoshi Test Center.
Also manufactured and delivered many other development and testing systems.
2000s and beyond
Received and delivered numerous large-scale equipment projects for Mazda, including vehicle assembly systems and engine assembly lines.

2001
Nakayoshi Yuji became President and Representative Director, and Nakayoshi Keiji became Chairman and Representative Director.
2012
Annual sales exceeded JPY 2 billion.
2013
Delivered an engine performance measurement and inspection system to Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd. (Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China).
2014
Delivered a parts supply system to the engine machining line and an engine parts assembly system to the engine assembly line at Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operation.
2019
August 20 marked the company’s 100th anniversary.
2020
Nakayoshi Ippei became President and Representative Director, and Nakayoshi Yuji became Chairman and Representative Director.
2021
Built an AGV assembly plant in Shiwa-cho, Higashihiroshima City (total floor area: 450 m²), creating an environment that also allows system test runs. Delivered an engine and rear-suspension installation system (AGV) to Mazda’s Hofu Plant.
Recorded a company-high annual sales figure of JPY 4,112.32 million.
2023
Received an Excellent Taxpayer Corporation commendation from Hiroshima Nishi Tax Office (9th time overall).
